ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Tour Guide to join the Cruise Whitsundays Whitehaven team on a fulltime permanent basis. In this role, you will create unforgettable experiences for guests visiting Whitehaven Beach through exceptional services and a strong focus on safety. The position is physically demanding and offers a unique lifestyle roster, ensuring you have a full weekend.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests, prioritizing their safety and ensuring a enjoyable experience
  • Provide high-quality guest service and maintain professional presentation.
  • Keeping the vessel clean and well presented for the passengers.
  • Food Service for guests on board and beach
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of full-day guests.
  • Assist with securing and departure of ancillary vessels
  • Conduct safety briefings and presentations for guests.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will love the outdoors, have a passion for sharing knowledge, and enjoy creating memorable guest experiences. You should be a team player with a "can-do" attitude, be comfortable working on water, and consistently deliver excellent customer service.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Have strong organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Provide genuine, personable to all guests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar Tour Guide role within the tourism industry.
  • Hold Elements of Shipboard Safety Certificate, GPH or higher accreditation.
  • Hold a valid Qld RSA
  • Certified in HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID015 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Advanced Oxygen Therapy.
  • Relevant hospitality qualifications (e.g., Certificate in Hospitality) and Bronze Medallion or Cert II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) are highly advantageous.
  • Must have working rights in Australia
